Essential Media’s CEO Chris Hilton has been awarded the Stanley Hawes Award at Australia’s National documentary festival and AIDC conference in Adelaide.
The AIDC Stanley Hawes Award is the most prestigious Documentary award to be presented to an organisation or person who has made an outstanding contribution to the documentary sector in Australia over a period of time.
CO Chair of AIDC Lori Flekser said, “DocWeek and the AIDC is proud to present the 2014 AIDC Stanley Hawes Award to Chris Hilton. His remarkable filmography and policy work has helped to redefine the shape, scope and reputation of the Australian Documentary history.”
