‘Scorched’ wins Digital Emmy

March 30, 2009 CANNES — “Scorched,” a futuristic online drama from Australia that looks at the potential devastation of climate change, has won the 2009 International Digital Emmy for best fiction program. The series, featuring local stars Cameron Daddo, Rachael Carpani and Vince Colosimo, was complemented by a telefilm on Australia’s Channel Nine, three dedicated YouTube channels and several faux Web sites and online forums. British producers Raw TV and Airlock won the best children & young people trophy for their project “Battlefront,” a look at 20 teenagers trying to change the world.
